The attack happened on Monday morning while students were sitting for the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) conducted by the National Examinations Council (NECO).
Reports indicate that one teacher was killed during the assault, while another teacher suffered injuries.
Confirming the incident, Borno State Police spokesperson Nahum Daso said security agencies are still searching for the missing students.
“Today at about 9am, suspected members of Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists invaded the Lassa community on motorcycles,” the Borno police spokesperson said.
“Unspecified number of students are currently missing but police, military, hunters, and vigilantes are combing the area.”
The latest attack added to the growing number of school abductions linked to terrorist groups in Nigeria.
