Gwamnishu shared a video online in which the young girl spoke about the alleged abuse and explained what happened to her.
According to her, the incident happened when she was taking her younger brother to their mother.
She alleged that the landlord stopped her and persuaded her to enter his room, where he sexually assaulted her several times.
The girl also claimed that the suspect threatened to kill her if she told anyone about the alleged abuse.
The 10-year-old further alleged that the landlord had abused her on other occasions.
The case reportedly came to light after her employer noticed that she was struggling to walk and asked what was wrong.
After she revealed the alleged abuse, her parents were informed and they reported the matter at Choba Police Station.
The case was later moved to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID).
Reacting to the situation, Gwamnishu accused the police of failing to properly handle the case and claimed that the landlord remains free.
He wrote: “In Rivers State, a landlord who r@ped and defiled tenant daughter said to victim father “Na who get money de win police case. The landlord is walking freely.”
