The governor made this known during a security meeting with traditional rulers and security agencies at the government house on Tuesday.

Umar Bago said people arrested with dreadlocks should have their hair cut off and be made to pay a fine.

He warned that his government will not tolerate unruly behavior and has instructed law enforcement to act immediately.

Anybody that you find with dreadlocks, arrest, barb the hair, and fine the person,” the governor stated.

The governor also ordered that anyone caught carrying weapons should be treated as a criminal, labeling such people as armed robbers.
