Gospel singer Adeyinka Alaseyori has urged Nigerians to focus on prayer instead of blaming President Bola Tinubu over the country’s security problems.

Nigerians Should Pray Against Insecurity Instead Of Blaming Tinubu - Adeyinka Alaseyori

In a recent video, the singer said prayer still works and should not be dismissed as ineffective in dealing with national challenges.

Prayers are working. Don’t let anybody tell you prayers are not working,” Adeyinka Alaseyori said.

She stressed that everyone, from the president to ordinary citizens, needs prayers, calling on Nigerians to put aside political differences and seek divine help for the country.

From the president to the last person in this country, we need to pray. Every parastatal, every sector, we all need prayers,” the singer added

Alaseyori also warned against rushing into conclusions that the  leaders, including the president and vice president, are not doing enough on security.

According to her, there may be unseen factors affecting efforts on the ground, making prayer even more important.

You can’t say the president or vice president is not working. The security personnel might have gone to rescue them and a charm could have covered their face so they would not see anything. That is the place of prayer,” she said.

Her remarks come at a time when some public figures have continued to criticise the government over rising insecurity.

Meanwhile, Nigerian socialite Cubana Chief Priest said he remains firmly behind President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 elections.
