Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Official Poster Causes Controversy Over Sept 9/11 Date And Imagery

The new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie is facing controversy after the official poster for the film was tweeted in Australia yesterday, with the release date of September 11 — and imagery reminiscent of the Amerian Sept 9/11 terrorist tragedy.
The poster features the four ninja turtles jumping off a fiery, exploding skyscraper.
Paramount Pictures tweeted the image, but later deleted it after there was tremendous backlash over the insensitivity of the image.
Check out the tweet for the offending September 11 poster below, and tell us what you think.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is slated to be released a month earlier in the U.S. on August 8.
