Air India Worker Dies After Being Sucked Into Plane Engine

A member of Air India’s ground crew was sucked into an aircraft’s engine and killed instantly. The incident happened yesterday at Mumbai Airport in India.

He was killed after being sucked into the jet engine during push back at 9pm … The aircraft, AI 619, was at a parking bay at the airport’s T2 Terminal and was preparing for departure to Hyderabad.

It’s not clear if any passenger witnessed the accident and investigations are on-going to ascertain how the crew came so close to the plane.
