Will Smith Celebrates His 50th Birthday In Style By Jumping From The Helicopter Over Grand Canyon

Believe it or not. Our very own fresh prince turned 50 yesterday – And of all the things he could possibly do yesterday afternoon being Tuesday, to celebrate his birthday, he chooses to jump from a helicopter and stunt over the Grand Canyon. It was pretty cool!

He posted a photo of his family on Instagram shortly before his jump, writing: “My Squad holding me down for my big 5-0.”

Will Smith shared his experience in Youtube, describe the whole thing as ‘spectacular” and saying he would definitely do it again. Well, what do you expect when he was supported by his friends and family. His wife Jada Pinkett Smith and his kids Trey, Jaden, Willow where all there to support him, along with other well-wishers.

He posted the photo of his family being there to support him on Instagram with the caption “My Squad holding me down for my big 5-0.

According to the report we gathered about the whole incident, Will Smith was dared to take on the skydiving challenge from a YouTube Group – to create awareness for education campaigns.

In the video footage, Will Smith can be seen being flown into the air by helicopter, before standing on the side and making a leap, with his arms outstretched.

This is what he has to say about the experience:

“Nothing. Nothing will ever be scarier than that. It goes from complete, absolute terror to the most magnificent bliss you’ve ever felt in your life.

“And I don’t know what it is, when the cord works – first of all, you happy the cord worked, right. Then it’s like the whole Grand Canyon is mine.

“I’m just kinda hanging there and the choppers far away – you’re not really hearing it – it’s like just bliss and it’s like nobody will ever have that view. It’s like me and the Grand Canyon, it’s like that combination. It’s almost like you need terror to experience the bliss.”

He also added:

“You have to commit. Life is hard, you might get hurt, your heart might get broken, you might lose your job, but you’ve still got to commit.”
