Governor of Akwa-Ibom state, Udom Emmanuel has accused the Commissioner of Police, Musa Kimo of working with some sacked lawmakers to take over the House of Assembly and Impeach him.
Earlier on Tuesday, we reported that the five lawmakers who were recently sacked after they defected from PDP to APC, stormed the Akwa Ibom House of Assembly with armed thugs, assumed their seats and started an impeachment process against the state Governor, Udom Emmanuel. Read the report HERE.
After the chaos that same Tuesday, November 27, 2018, the Governor while addressing newsmen during a world press conference, accused the Commissioner of Police, Musa Kimo of being involved with the sacked lawmakers trying to impeach him.
Governor Emmanuel also said that his petitions to President Buhari and the police boss, Ibrahim Idris, on the matter have been ignored.
He regretted that the police force which he equipped with the state’s funds has turned around to fight his government.
Governor Udom Emmanuel also warned against postponement of elections in the state.
