EFCC Reportedly Detains Doyin Okupe After Monday Meeting

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has reportedly detained former presidential aide, Dr. Doyin Okupe following Monday meeting.

On Saturday, December 6, 2018, Okupe revealed via his Twitter account that EFCC stormed his Ilupeju home and that they left when he agreed to come to their office on Monday, December 10, 2018.

The spokesman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Kola Ologbondiyan, has revealed via his Twitter account that the former presidential aide has been detained by the EFCC, probably after their meeting on Monday.

He wrote:

“Media Adviser to the Director General of PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation, @doyinokupe detained by the EFCC It is a season of assault, harassment and intimidation for the members of PDP.”
