A suspected thief got more than he bargained for in the hands of angry mobs after he was caught trying to steal a motorcycle in Imo state.
It was gathered that the suspect allegedly snatched a motorcycle in Okigwe area of the state and was about to flee before an alarm was raised.
Residents in the area quickly mobilized themselves and gave the suspect a hot pursuit which led to him being apprehended.
The suspect was beaten mercilessly by the mob as he escaped being lynched before he was handed over to the police, according to reports.
