The man of the moment in the Nigerian music industry, Burna Boy shutdown a suggestion by a journalist from the United Kingdom that said Afrobeats was coined from the UK.
A UK based journalist who happened to be in Burna Boy’s concert said during an interview with the singer that the Afrobeat was started off in the UK. According to him, Afrobeat was named in the UK.
However, Burna Boy didn’t buy that idea that Afrobeat Started off in the UK. He explained to the Journalist in clear terms that the UK had nothing to do with the creation of the Afrobeat sound and movement. According to him, the UK accepted Afrobeat but don’t have anything to do with its creation.
