Iconic fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld has died at the age of 85 after a short illness.
The fashion designer was rushed to hospital on Monday night, according to publication Paris Match.
He passed away on Tuesday morning after being admitted to the American Hospital in the city.
He had been head of fashion house Chanel since 1983.
French magazine Closer said he died following a period of ill health.
Lagerfeld is survived by his beloved cat, Choupette, which he’d had since 2011. He famously said he would marry his pet, if it were legal.
He was 85.
