The Leader of the Nigerian Socio-Political Movement, #OurMumuDonDo, Charles Oputa a.k.a Charlyboy has admitted to collecting millions of Naira from Festus Keyamo, the Spokesman for the President Muhammadu Buhari 2019 Campaign Organisation, to attack the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar.
Recall that popular Nigerian activist, Deji Adeyanyu, who recently resigned from ‘Our Mumu Don Do Movement” had accused Charlyboy of betraying the movement by collecting funds from President Muhammadu Buhari’s government.
Yesterday, we published an audiotape conversation where Charlyboy admitted to Adeyanju that he collected money from Festus Keyamo to attack Atiku. (Listen to the audio tape HERE).
A video from Roots TV has emerged this morning showing Charlyboy confessing that Keyamo paid him money in “nine figures”, to promote his song which was against Atiku Abubakar, during the run-up to the country’s Presidential election, in February.
Charlyboy said:
“When Festus Keyamo came to discuss Deji’s matter with me, he heard my new song where I was dissing Atiku, he paid for the song because he wanted to use my song. I don’t mind collecting money if you want to use my song, you pay for it.”
When asked how much the money was, Charly Boy admitted that the money was in “nine figures”, mentioning no specific amount.
“Of course, he paid heavy money, nine figures … Everybody wanted a part of the money including Deji and I did not mind sharing it.”
He further stated in the interview, that others in the #OurMumuDonDo, including the Co-Convener of the Movement, Deji Adeyanju, who quit the group earlier in the week, demanded that he shared the money with them.
