The Minister of State, Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo has recounted his last moment with President Muhammadu Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari, who died of coronavirus on Friday, April 17, 2020.
Keyamo disclosed on Twitter that he had a discussion Kyari on Tuesday, March 24th, before the death of the politician.
According to him, during their discussion, the late chief of staff told him that his health was fine and that he (Kyari) would faithfully take the treatments.
“When I chatted with him exactly on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, he assured me his health was fine and that he would faithfully take the treatments. But God always knows best.
“Sincere condolences to the Kyari family and the Government of Nigeria. Adieu Mallam Abba Kyari,” he wrote on Twitter.
KanyiDaily had reported that Abba Kyari died on Friday, exactly 26 days after he tested positive for coronavirus following his trip to Germany and Egypt where the pandemic had claimed hundreds of lives.
