Governor Bello gave the directive on Friday in Lokoja, in a statement issued to commemorate this year’s Workers’ Day.

The statement, signed on his behalf by the state Head of Service, Mrs Deborah Ogunmola, congratulated workers on this year’s celebration, lauding their resilience and commitment to duties.

He also expressed appreciation to the workers for their dedication and services to the state, and challenged them to contribute more to its growth and development.

Bello urged residents to continue to adhere strictly to the protocols and other precautionary measures put in place to checkmate the rampaging coronavirus disease by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and World Health Organisation (WHO).

KanyiDaily recalls that Governor Bello had revealed Kogi state is yet to test anyone for the coronavirus which has infected over 2000 persons across the country.

Governor Bello, who disclosed this on Sunday on Channels Television, said his government is using an unnamed app to check the virus in Kogi.
