The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced 90 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number of infection in the country to 56,478.
The NCDC made this known on Tuesday night via its Twitter handle, where it disclosed that the 90 new cases were recorded in eight states including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
States with new cases of COVID-19 include Lagos-33, Plateau-27, Kaduna-17, Ogun-6, FCT-4, Anambra-1, Ekiti-1, and Nasarawa-1.
The health centre further revealed that 44,430 patients have been discharged across the country, while 1088 patients have died as a result of COVID-19 complications.
“On the 15th of September 2020, 90 new confirmed cases and 5 deaths were recorded in Nigeria,” NCDC said.
“The 90 new cases are reported from eight states – Lagos (33), Plateau (27), Kaduna (17), Ogun (6), FCT (4), Anambra (1), Ekiti (1), Nasarawa (1).
“Till date, 56478 cases have been confirmed, 44430 cases have been discharged and 1088 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.”
