Pastor Sunday Edino Arrested For Looting N1.2 Million Medical Equipment In Kogi [Photos]

Kogi State Police Command has arrested a 45-year-old Pastor identified as Sunday Edino for stealing medical equipment in Lokoja, the State capital.

Pastor Edino and his alleged accomplices were arrested on Monday after they looted a medical equipment worth over N1.2 billion kept in a warehouse in Lokoja.

The theft was carried out under the guise of the #EndSARS protests, which saw hoodlums and arsonists looting and vandalizing public and private-owned warehouses and businesses in the past one week,

It was noted that the cleric and his hoodlums stole x-ray machines and other equipment while others were retrieved from bushes around the warehouse.

“The Commissioner of police in Kogi State and his men swiftly launched a manhunt on the criminals which led to the arrest of Pastor Sunday Edino and others,” a statement by the police said.

KanyiDaily recalls that Kogi governor, Yahaya Bello, had warned the youth to conduct themselves peacefully while protesting, but warned that the government would not spare protesters who engage in criminal activities.
