Gunmen have kidnapped over 300 students of Government Girls Secondary School, Jangebe, Talata Mafara local government area of Zamfara State.
A teacher who spoke with BBC confirmed that not less than 300 female students where abducted when the gunmen stormed the school in the early hours of Friday, February 26, 2021.
A resident of Kawaye village identified as Sadi Kawaye told Daily Trust that his daughters, Mansura and Sakina, were among those abducted.

“I’m on my to Jangebe now over this terrible situation. I was told they invaded the school around 1am,” Kawaye told Daily Trust over the phone.
When contacted, SP Muhammad Shehu, Police Public Relations Officer in Zamfara, pleaded for more time saying “Give me some time, I can’t say anything now.”
The latest abduction comes less than two weeks after gunmen stormed the Government Secondary School in Kagara, Niger State, abducting 47 school pupils, teachers and workers, who have yet to be rescued as of Friday.
