An aide to President Muhammadu Buhari on social media, Lauretta Onochie, has revealed that Nigerians who flaunt lifestyles they cannot afford, will now be investigated by the anti-graft agencies.
Onochie stated this on Monday via her Twitter page, while announcing that lifestyle audit has now been legalized in the country.
According to her, Nigerians could now be called upon by anti-graft agencies to explain how they acquired certain properties.
“Lifestyle Audit is now legal in Nigeria. Those who flaunt lifestyles they cannot afford can now be investigated by any of the graft agencies to produce evidence of the sources of their wealth.
“You can now be called upon to explain how you acquired certain properties,” she wrote.
KanyiDaily recalls that Nigerian police had advised Nigerians that if they want to show off thier wealth, they should be ready to prove how they acquire them.
