Former Aviation Minister, Femi Fani-Kayode, has endorsed Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, to run for presidency under the All Progressive Congress (APC) in 2023 general election.
In a post shared on his Twitter page on Sunday, Fami-Kayode said the idea that Yahaya Bello should not run for the presidency is “absurd.”
He added that it also absurd for some Nigerians to kick against the North Central producing the next Nigerian President.
According to the former minister, Nigeria need a strong and decisive leadership, a generational change and a bridge-builder.
“The idea that Gov. Yahaya Bello should not run for the Presidency & that the NC zone, which has never produced a democratically-elected President, ought to settle for another position is absurd. Nigeria needs strong & decisive leadership, a generational change & a bridge-builder,” he wrote.
KanyiDaily recalls that Arewa Youth Forum (AYF) had also called on Yahaya Bello to run for the Presidency in 2023, stating that it was time for the youth to take over the country’s leadership.
