Nigerian comedian, Mercy Mmesoma Obi Nnadi, popularly known as Ada Jesus, has been buried today amid tears in her husband’s village in Umuakum Ejemewuru, Oguta Local Government Area of Imo State.

Her burial comes a month and seven days after the death of the 24-year-old comedienne who died at an Abuja-based hospital after a protracted battle with kidney disease for about a year.

According to the poster shared by the family, a Christian wake keep and comedy night held yesterday while the mother of one was laid to rest in Oguta today.

In a video, three women including the late comedian’s elder sister were spotted with Ada’s photo frame as they walked in front of pallbearers who were dancing along to some musical instruments being played.

Below are photos from the burial ceremony of Ada Jesus:

KanyiDaily recalls that Ada Jesus’ husband, Nnadi Kingsley has opened up about her death, saying he never thought she would die at such a young age.

He said he initially had high hopes that his wife would recover from her ailment because of assurances he got from the doctor and a pastor who prayed for her.
