Gunmen have kidnapped three people working for a former president, Olusegun Obasanjo, at his farm in Kobape, Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State.
It was gathered that the gunmen waylaid the three workers on Wednesday evening at the Obasanjo Holdings, shot at their vehicle while driving on the road, and took them away.
PUNCH quoted a source saying that the abducted workers are the financial controller, group auditor, and group store manager of the firm.
“They were abducted around 4 pm at Seseri village after their Hilux car was shot at by the gunmen, who took them away,” the source said.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who confirmed the incident, said, “Yes, it happened today (Wednesday) around 6: pm. There is Obasanjo farm around the area in Kobape.
“Our men have begun searching for them and we will ensure they are rescued.”
This comes one week after three lawmakers escaped death on Wednesday when gunmen opened fire on their vehicles along Akwanga-Lafia road in Nasarawa State.
