The teacher identified as Owolabi was reportedly rushed to the hospital after he was beaten to a pulp on Tuesday by one of his students whom he stopped from assaulting a female student.

Punch quoted an eyewitness saying that the student had strolled into the class while the teacher was teaching and descended on the junior girl who was in the class.

The source said, “The teacher was teaching SS1 students when the male student entered the class and beat up a girl.

“The teacher told the boy to stop assaulting the girl, but boy descended on the innocent teacher and beat him up.

“The boy has been apprehended and has been taken to the police station, while the Amotekun group is also on ground in the school.”
