Photos circulating on social media shows how Uche Nwosu, the son-in-law of former Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, was treated by the police after he was arrested during church service on Sunday.
KanyiDaily had reported how police arrested Uche Nwosu during the outing service of his mother’s burial at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Eziama-Obaire, Nkwerre Local Government Area of Imo State on Sunday, December 26.
Speaking on the development, Okorocha accused the police of humiliating his wife, Nneoma, by pushing her down and tearing the clothes of his daughter, Uloma Nwosu, in public.
The Senator, who also accused Governor Uzodimma of being behind the arrest, lamented that there was no arrest warrant or invitation by the policemen who arrested his son-in-law.
Reacting to Okorocha’s statement, Uzodinma asked Okorocha to stop raising false alarm, adding that his government has no hand in the arrest of Nwosu.
Uzodinma said the former governor was panicking over Nwosu’s arrest because he looted the wealth of Imo people. He also advised Okorocha to allow the law take its course.
Uche Nwosu was finally released unconditionally on Sunday night and photos of how he was treated when arrested by security operatives have emerged.
KanyiDaily recalls that Uzodinma had claimed that nemesis had already caught up with Okorocha as he can no longer walk freely on the streets of Owerri, the Imo State capital.
