NIgerian singer, Simi was stunned when her celebrity husband, Adekunle Gold, surprised her with a birthday cake on the latest episode of the Nigerian Idol reality show.
During the Nigerian Idol on Sunday night, the singer who is also a judge on the show, had been asked how she celebrated her 34th birthday during the week.
After she narrated how her big day went, the show host, IK Osakioduwa, revealed that the organisers had also decided to give a “superfan” the opportunity to celebrate with her.
Simi’s mouth was left wide ajar as her husband, Adekunle Gold, came out as the superfan while holding a birthday cake, leaving her completely speechless.
Adekunle walked up to his wife and the celebrity couple shared a heartfelt embrace on stage as members of the audience cheered them on.
When asked to say a few words to his wife, Adekunle said: “I just want to say I am your biggest fan. I am proud of you, well done, Deja and I am rooting for you and we love you, I love you.”
