Nollywood actress, Kemi Afolabi, who revealed that she had a few more years to live, has announced that she has begun treatment for her year-long illness, lupus.
In March, the actress had announced that doctors told her she had a few more years to live because she was battling Lupus, a disease that occurs when the body’s immune system attacks tissues and organs.
Afolabi’s colleagues had solicited for funds for her via their social media platforms after the doctors made the revelation, so she could battle the autoimmune disease.
Taking to her Instagram page on Thursday, June 30, the actress shared pictures of herself at the hospital, noting that she was undergoing treatment at The John Hopkins Hospital in Maryland, United States.
Sharing the the photos, she wrote: “I commenced my lupus treatment journey today 06/30/2022 with @hopkinsmedicine Alihamdulilah. Some beautiful souls made this happen, God bless you all. Wish me luck. #warrior.”
