The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi received a rousing welcome on Friday night when he visited the Dunamis Internation Gospel Centre in Abuja.
The former Anambra governor, who was accompanied by his Campaign Director General (DG), Doyin Okupe, attended the service themed “The Judgement Praise Night.”
A video circulating on social media shows the moment the entire church went agog after Obi was introduced by the wife of the Senior Pastor, Paul Enenche, Becky.
Addressing members of the church, Pastor Becky Enenche said: “And we also have tonight, Mr Peter Obi who has joined for the service this evening.”
As she mentioned that Obi was in the church’s 100,000-capacity building, the congregants gave thunderous applause and cheers, as some also chanted the presidential candidate’s name.
Despite Pastor Becky’s attempt to calm the crowd, the congregants kept clapping and screaming, as the presidential candidate shook hands with the senior pastor of the church.
When asked to say a word, Obi joined Enenche who is an advocate of Igbo presidency in an intercession prayer for Nigeria, saying: “God we have no other country except this one, God deliver us. God free and liberate us.
KanyiDaily recalls that Peter Obi had recently revealed that his political journey has been a tale of miracles, adding that he is looking forward to another miracle come 2023.
