Presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi held a closed-door meeting with some governors of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and other politicians in Rivers State.
Former governor of Ondo state, Olusegun Mimiko who disclosed this on his Twitter page this morning, said the meeting was held on Monday night, August 15.
According to him, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, Governor Samuel Ortom, former Governor Donald Duke, former Governor Ibrahim Dankwambo, former Minister Mohammed Adoke SAN, and many others were present at the meeting.
He wrote; ‘‘Nice to share some time last night with @GovWike @Donald_Duke @PeterObi @HEDankwambo @GovSamuelOrtom @GovernorIkpeazu, Mohammed Adoke SAN and many other friends.”
This comes two months after Peter Obi personally visited Nyesom Wike who is widely rumoured to be plotting an exit from the PDP following his loss to Atiku Abubakar, the party’s 2023 presidential flag-bearer.
