Cardi B Pleads Guilty To Charges In Strip Club Fight, Sentenced To Community Service

American rapper, Cardi B has been sentenced to 15 days of community service after she pleaded guilty to assault charges against her for fighting in a strip club in New York.

Cardi B Sentenced For Fighting In Strip Club

KanyiDaily recalls that in 2018, the 29-year-old rapper was involved in a fight after she allegedly ordered an attack on two female bartenders at Angel’s Strip Club because she believed her lover, Offset had an affair with one of them.

A police spokesperson told CNN at the time that Cardi was allegedly “throwing chairs, bottles and hookahs in the club at 3 a.m.”

Sources close to Cardi previously denied that she was involved in the attack, according to TMZ. While the bartenders were reportedly injured during the brawl, both women declined to receive medical treatment.

She surrendered to the police in October 2018 and was thereafter slammed with 12-count charges which include third-degree assault and second-degree reckless endangerment.

Cardi B was arraigned at the Queens Supreme Court alongside Jeffrey Bush and Tawana Jackson-More, who were co-defendants in the case.

On Thursday, the rapper pleaded guilty to the two misdemeanor charges against her, and the court dismissed the other 10 charges, which include two felonies, against her.

During the court session, prosecutors said Cardi B threw objects, including champagne bottles, at two sisters who were bartenders at the club.

They also said the musician led her team to attack the women over the allegation that one of them was dating her lover, Offset.

In his judgment, Judge Melinda Katz handed Cardi B a three-year order of protection from the women involved in the fight, as well as 15 days of community service.

“No one is above the law,” Katz told the rapper who was photographed on Thursday entering the court in a form-fitting white dress.

Carbe B Reacts To Her Sentencing By Court

In a statement, the rapper admitted she “made some bad decisions” in the past, noting that she is looking forward to moving past the situation and getting back to music and her fans.

“Part of growing up and maturing is being accountable for your actions. As a mother, it’s a practice that I am trying to instill in my children, but the example starts with me.

“I’ve made some bad decisions in my past that I am not afraid to face and own up to. These moments don’t define me and they are not reflective of who I am now.

“I’m looking forward to moving past this situation with my family and friends and getting back to the things I love the most – the music and my fans,” she said.

KanyiDaily recalls that Cardi B had recently testified before a federal jury in Georgia that she was ‘suicidal and depressed’ after a YouTuber, Latasha Kebe also known as Tasha K, accused her of being a prostitute and a drug addict.
