The Delta State Police Command has arrested two POS fraud suspects who specialise in generating fake alerts to defraud the operators.
The command stated this in a statement issued by its Spokesman, DSP Bright Edafe, and posted on the Twitter handle of the command on Saturday.
The statement gave the names of the suspects as Ofemu Obus ‘m’ age 23yrs and Henry Ekpu ‘m’ age 28yrs.
It said the two suspects were nabbed by operatives attached to the Command’s Raiders squad on the 27th of October, 2022.
“The suspects are alleged to specialise in defrauding unsuspecting POS operators by generating fake alerts which they use to deceive their victims and defraud them of their money,” the statement said.
“Suspects are in custody and investigation is ongoing.”
