Veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie and his wife, Josephine have celebrated their 53rd wedding anniversary.

The wedding anniversary event took place in Enugu on Saturday, October 1st at the Base Landmark Event Centre.

The event was attended by prominent figures including Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State and the deputy governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state, Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai.

Elated Edochie took to his Instagram handle to share photos from the anniversary.

In a post accompanying the pictures, the movie star hailed his wife, who he referred to as “my queen”, for being with him for over five decades.

The actor further appreciated his children for putting the event together to honour them.

“53 years of marital bliss with my queen, Chief Barrister Mrs Josephine Edochie. Thanks to my children for hosting us to the biggest party of our lifetime, yes our life because we are one,” he wrote.

“In celebration of our 53yrs of marriage and life in goodness and in good health.

“These past 53yrs, God blessed us with six biological children (among all the inherited ones and numerous grand-children)

“Five gentlemen and a beautiful adorable lady, Leo; Adam; Linc; Jean; Yul; Eva, respectively. Thank you all for celebrating with us.”

Meanwhile, Kanyi Daily had reported that Pete Edochie endorsed his son, Yul to become next Nigerian president.
