The Presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi has revealed why he is running for president.

Peter Obi Says Nigerians Can Trust Him

Obi, in a tweet on his official handle on Sunday, said he is running for president because he is qualified, lamenting that  “We can no longer gamble with our fate and future.”

He said in addition to being qualified, he also has the capacity, credibility, commitment, stamina, governance experience, and track record.

The former Anambra governor added that of more importance, Nigerians can trust him.

He wrote, “We can no longer gamble with our fate and future. I’m running for president because, I am qualified, and I have the capacity, credibility, commitment, stamina, governance experience, and track record. More importantly, Nigerians can trust me.”

Meanwhile, Kanyi Daily reported that the Labour Party (LP) tackled the vice-presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Kashim Shettima over his utterances on Peter Obi, and other candidates.

In a statement by the Director-General of the Labour Party Campaign Organisation, Doyin Okupe, the party called on APC to caution Shettima.
