He Will Remain Governor – Nigerians Reacts To Tribunal Sacking Ademola Adeleke

Some Nigerians on Twitter have reacted to the sacking of Governor Ademola Adeleke by the state Election Petition Tribunal on Friday.

Nigerians Speaks On Tribunal Sacking Ademola Adeleke

Most of them argued that Ademola Adeleke remains governor of the state despite the tribunal judgement.

They also expressed optimism that Ademola Adeleke will be victorious at the appeal court and even up to Supreme Court.

Kanyi Daily earlier reported that the tribunal sacked Ademola Adeleke as the duly elected governor of the state on Friday.

The tribunal in a split document of two to one declared that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), should withdraw the Certificate of Return issued to Ademola Adeleke and issue the same to former Governor Gboyega Oyetola.

The tribunal hearing the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s Oyetola’s petition against the victory of the Peoples Democratic Party’s Ademola Adeleke annulled the result of the July 16 Osun governorship poll.

Meanwhile, Ademola Adeleke has rejected the outcome of the judgement.

Below are some of the reactions of Nigerians to the judgement.

“Adeleke is still the Governor of Osun State and I can assure you that after the Appeal and Supreme Court judgment, he will remain the governor till 2026.”

“Adeleke won at the tribunal in 2018 and lost at the Supreme Court, no cause for alarm, Adeleke will do his term to term.”

“Adeleke will get a fair judgement from the Supreme Court. Make Oyetola go sit down.”

“Dear Gov. Ademola Adeleke, the people of Osun State stand with you having entrusted their mandate to you in July 2022. The rest of the country equally stands in solidarity with you because we believe in your capacity. Oyetola should prepare for 2026 and stop disturbing Osun people.”

“Osun state has to explain in detail why Adeleke was removed from the Governorship that he clearly won. The story no clear. Smells fishy.”

“He still remains the sitting Governor of Osun state ….No shaking omo Adeleke.”

“Court orders INEC to announce Oyetola as the new governor of Osun state over Adeleke. Strange things are happening. Adeleke has visited many tourist sites & destinations, it’s time for him to visit the most rugged tourist Center in Nigeria. He needs to visit Wike and seek help 📌.”

“Adeleke is still the Governor!
Adeleke is still the Governor!
Adeleke is still the Governor!
Adeleke is still the Governor!
Adeleke is still the Governor!
Tell everyone, do not allow APC members to deceive you.”

In a related development, a member of the Tinubu/Shettima Grassroots Independent Campaign Council, Adamu Garba has reacted to the Election Petition Tribunal judgement sacking Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State.

Adamu Garba, in a tweet on his official handle on Friday, described Ademola Adeleke as a temporary governor.
