Bandits Kidnap Ten Secondary School Students In Kaduna

At least ten students have been abducted by bandits in the Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna state.

This was disclosed in a statement by the Kaduna State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan.

Aruwan revealed that the students were from the government secondary school Awon (day secondary school).

According to the commissioner, the exact location of the incident is yet to be confirmed, adding that detailed reports are being awaited to clarify whether the abduction of the students occurred within the school premises or elsewhere

This is a developing story. More details will be added shortly as they come.

This comes less than one day after the Kaduna State Government, imposed a 24-hour curfew on the Sabon Garin Nassarawa – Tirkaniya area of Chikun Local Government Area of the state with immediate effect.

This was disclosed by Aruwan in a statement.

Aruwan said the decision to impose the 24-hour curfew was reached following a breakdown of law and order.

In other news, Kanyi Daily reported that the management of the University of Benin (UNIBEN) on Tuesday, condemned the killing of the final year student of the institution, simply known as Desmond.

Desmond, popularly known as ‘Mayor’ was on Monday shot dead in his room at the Hall 3 Hostel by unknown gunmen in what appeared like a cult-related incident.
