Court Grants Blessing CEO N10m Bail After Being Remanded In Prison For Two Months

Blessing CEO has been granted bail by a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos.

A Federal High Court in Lagos has granted bail to a relationship expert, Blessing Okoro, popularly known as Blessing CEO, who was remanded in prison.

KanyiDaily recalls that Blessing CEO was arrested over her involvement with a celebrity car dealer, Ikechukwu Ogbonna, better known as IVD Autos, who was accused of being the cause of the death of his late wife, Bimbo Ogbonna.

On Friday, the police arraigned the self-acclaimed relationship expert on a six-count charge of alleged cyber-bullying, libel, and for exhibiting uncensored movies.

Blessing was accused of using her social media page to injure the reputation of one Folashade Samuels and the late Bimbo Ogbonna by exposing them to hatred, contempt, and ridicule.

The influencer pleaded not guilty to the charges. She was remanded in prison till May 30 for the hearing of her bail application.

However, Blessing CEO has been granted bail on Tuesday, April 4.

During the hearing, Blessing’s lawyer filed a bail application before Justice Tijjani Ringim on her behalf which the police did not oppose to the bail application.

Regarding the bail conditions, the police urged the court to use its discretion, the judge granted Blessing CEO bail in absence of opposition.

She was admitted to N10 million bail each with two sureties in like sum.

KanyiDaily had reported how Bimbo died in a hospital after getting into a scuffle with her husband and allegedly setting herself ablaze at their mansion in Lagos.

While Bimbo’s sister accused IVD of killing his wife, Blessing defended the car dealer and was even dragged to the police by the deceased’s family.

IVD was arraigned and charged with one count of involuntary manslaughter at the Lagos State High Court in Ikeja where he pleaded not guilty to the crime.

Blessing CEO was reportedly arrested whilst in the company of IVD on Thursday morning, March 30, after weeks of dodging her court appearances.
