I Paid Half Of My Bride Price, Settled My Ex-Husband After Divorce – Korra Obidi

US-based Nigerian dancer, Korra Obidi has refuted claims that her American ex-husband, Justin Dean, took her out of poverty.

Korra Obidi, who recently acquired a $1.6m house in Los Angeles, had been accused of marrying Justin Dean for money after he all brought her to America from Nigeria.

Reacting in a Facebook live session, the dancer revealed that she paid half of her bride price to her ex-husband and she paid him $50,000 settlement after their divorce.

Korra also debunked speculations that Justin picked her up from Nigeria and gave her a better life in America, stressing that she didn’t come from a poor family and she met her ex-hubby in China where their love affair started.

“Do you realize I paid half of my bride price. He took me out of poverty? does any part of my family look poor to you? Anyone thinking he saved me and put me in the land of opportunity…No, that’s not what happened we both met in China. I paid him $50,000 dollars, he did not give me one dime. I had to settle him after divorce”, she said in part.
