Isah Gambo, Spokesman of the state police command in a short tweet on his handle on Tuesday.
Gambo said the suspect, who comes from Kofar Sauri Quarters of Katsina state, succeeded in stabbing his victim and robbing him of his handsets and money.
The spokesman said the suspect is cooling his heels at the CID of the SHQ.
He wrote, “Arrest of a suspected phone snatcher and armed robber who succeeded in stabbing his victim and robbing him of his handsets and money.
“Suspect one Abdulrahaman Ibrahim, M, aged 18yrs, of Kofar Sauri Quarters of Katsina state, is cooling his heels at the CID of the SHQ.”
In a related development, Kanyi Daily reported that the Katsina State Police Command on Tuesday said it has arrested a suspected serial rapist and armed robber, who specialises in attacking married women in their houses, raping and robbing them of their belongings.
