Apostle Chibuzor To Return Happie Boys Back To Nigeria After They Called Him Out

The General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries, Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere has broken his silence after he was called out on social media by Happie Boys, former security guys working at Chicken Republic.

Happie Boys were widely known for their viral dance video while working as security guards at Chicken Republic before they were sacked which created a wave of sympathy among Nigerians, including Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, who generously sponsored their education in Cyprus.

On Monday, June 12, the duo, Matthew Precious Kelechi, and Amakor Johnson, revealed that Apostle Chibuzor discontinued their scholarship after sending them to Cyprus.

They shared their current predicament in Cyprus, revealing that their time in school lasted only six months before they were forced to drop out due to a lack of financial support.

The boys publicly dragged the philanthropist and shared a voice note in which the clergyman appeared to have cursed them.

Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere Forgives Happie Boys

Reacting via his Facebook page on Wednesday, the cleric emphasized that his initial intervention for the boys was driven by the belief that education, rather than security work, was crucial for individuals of their age.

The clergyman explained that due to the exchange rate of the Dollar, it became financially burdensome for him to continue paying the school fees of over 4,000 individuals enrolled in his scholarship program.

He said he had communicated this situation to all the parents involved and presented them with two options: either to return to Nigeria and continue their studies or to pursue education in Benin Republic.

Apostle Chibuzor, who didn’t reveal why he allegedly cursed Happie Boys, expressed his forgiveness towards the boys and extended an invitation for them to resume their education in any university in Nigeria or Benin Republic.

He said, “I am Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries (OPM). I feel humbled by the level of appreciation I received from well meaning Nigerians on my good works in improving the lives of less privileged in Nigeria.

“We all know the story of happy boys and how I intervened by sending them to Cyprus for studies. I felt at their age what they need is education not to work as security.

“Because of the Dollar rate, which became a heavy financial burden on me in paying school fees for over 4,000 persons on my scholarship programme, I stopped funding to Wait and see if the dollar will come down.

“I also communicated to every parents and gave them options either to return to Nigeria and continue their studies or Benin Republic.

“Now Because of God and as a father I have decided to forgive happy boys on whatever thing they Posted against me and the church. On this note I have decided to restore their scholarship to continue in any university in Nigeria or University in Benin Republic.

“I have instructed the matron who I employed to take care of them to arrange their ticket to return to Nigeria.”

KanyiDaily had also reported how Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere offered free accommodation and medical treatment to homeless Nollywood actor, Kenneth Aguba Jideofor.
