After Payment Of N50k Ransom Each, Boko Haram Terrorists Release 48 Abducted Women

At least 48 women have regained their freedom from the captivity of the terrorist sect, Boko Haram who abducted them from Maiwa and Shuwarin villages in Mafa LGA, in Borno State.

According to a security information website, Zagazola, the women were abducted from their farmlands on Tuesday, August 22, 2023.

It said the women, after their abduction, were then taken to an unknown destination, from where the terrorists demanded payment of ransom from the families of the women.

After the payment of N50,000 ransom, the terrorists have now released the women to their families.

Zagazola further said eight of the victims were earlier released after paying N20,000 each.

Meanwhile, Kanyi Daily reported that several persons have been feared killed as a two-storey building located in the Garki area of Abuja collapsed in the early hours of Thursday.

The building, reports say, collapsed during a heavy downpour in the early hours of Thursday.
