Lagos PPRO, Benjamin Hundeyin Reacts After Adamawa Police Officer Wept Over His Dismissal From Service

The Lagos State Police Spokesman, Benjamin Hundeyin has reacted to the dismissal of a police officer by the Adamawa State Command.

A video that went viral on Wednesday showed the moment the policeman cried as he was being dismissed from service for wrongdoing.

The command tried the officer and another Inspector, PC Mahmood Muhammed, and Ahmed Suleiman respectively formerly attached to Dumne Divisional Police Headquarters, in an orderly room trial.

Three charges which bordered on defamation of character, culpable homicide, and unlawful exercise of authority were filed against them.

The command found them guilty as charged and recommended the punishment of dismissal for both defaulters.

The constable was de-kitted while the Inspector will be de-kitted after fulfilling some administrative procedures.

Reacting to the development,  Benjamin Hundeyin in a tweet on his official X handle on Thursday, praised the police for showing accountability to the public.

He also argued that no agency comes close to the police force.

He wrote, “Accountability to the public. No agency comes close.”
