Actress Toyin Abraham Recounts How She Was Beaten At Movie Location

Nigerian actress and filmmaker, Toyin Abraham has shared her experience of being physically assaulted on a movie set.

Toyin Abraham disclosed this during a recent interview with BBC Pidgin, where she discussed her journey in the film industry.

Reflecting on her path to fame, she said, “I never see road wey smooh, I don travel, I don go London, I don go Canada, I don go America, I dey look for road wey smooth, e no dey. You go see one something, so anything no smooth, challenge go come.

“But all those big ones, dem don beat me for location well well, because I don become star? Different things don happen pass but those ones na past, so challenge must dey.”

The actress, originally from Edo State, gained more recognition, especially with her self-produced movie “Alakada,” which she mentioned is her favorite film to date.

KanyiDaily recalls that Toyin Abraham had recently revealed that she struggled with drug use after her failed marriage to actor, Adeniyi Johnson.
