KanyiDaily had earlier reports that Happie Boys were arrested and arraigned before a court in Cyprus for an unspecified crime and remanded in an underground prison by the court.
In a post shared on her Twitter page, Kemi Olunloyo confirmed that the former security guys who worked at the Chicken Republic in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, were arrested for issues involving internet fraud, drugs, and immigration status in Cyrus.
The Journalist criticized the Nigerian mainstream media for not providing accurate details and encouraged people to contact authorities in Cyprus for more information.
She stressed that the Happie Boys should have heeded the advice of Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere, the founder of the Omega Power Ministries (OPM), who sponsored their education in Cyprus, and avoided the situation leading to their arrest.
Kemi Olunloyo wrote, “Once again useless Nigerian MSM. CALL CYPRUS‼️‼️‼️Kemi doesn’t have the funds for that.
“A Turkish journalist friend I sent to Cyprus authorities tells me the Happie boys were arrested for an incident bordering around Internet fraud, drugs and their immigration status.
“No more Abike Dabiri to save these people. When I kept supporting chicken republic I was called “always going to the opposite” Think outside the box. Now jail time in Cyprus 🇨🇾
“They should have left and go where Chibuzor was sending them.”
KanyiDaily recalls that Happie Boys had declined the Apostle Chibuzor Chinyere’s offer to return to Nigeria or Benin Republic to continue their education.
