KanyiDaily recalls that Joseph Aloba recently alleged in an interview with TVC that he was shocked when he discovered that Mohbad had a thumbprint will, whereas he is 50 years old and has no will.
He questioned the necessity for such a document, wondering why his 26-year-old son, who was a graduate, would thumbprint his will instead of signing it.
Mohbad’s father alleged that his daughter-in-law, Omawunmi Aloba, alongside her lawyers, used the singer’s finger to thumbprint on the will after his death.
However, Mohbad’s management dismissed the existence of such a thumb-printed will, stressing that had such a document been real, it would have been made public and duly registered with the Probate Registry.
Despite denying the allegation, the late singer’s legal representatives filed a lawsuit against his father, Joseph Aloba, seeking a compensation of N200 million in damages.
The legal document, accessible online, instructed Mohad’s father to retract all statements made during his TVC interview.
The legal action also references Aloba’s previous statement about encountering lawyers at Mohbad’s residence instead of doctors.
Allegations of neglecting his son’s corpse are mentioned, further emphasizing the need for a public retraction across multiple media channels.
Among the specific instructions, Aloba is required to issue the retraction on various social media platforms, including YouTube, Facebook, and Instagram.
Additionally, he is directed to publish parts of the retraction in Punch newspaper and Instablognaija.
