Bandits Threatens to Remarry Bride, Sell 55 Wedding Guest in Katsina

Armed bandits, who recently abducted women accompanying a newly-wed bride to her matrimonial home in Damari, Sabuwa LGA of Katsina State, have issued threats to remarry the bride and sell off the other women

Kanyi Daily recalls that the daredevil bandits had last Thursday attacked the bride and those accompanying her in the Sabuwa area while traveling in an open van

The bandit killed at least four members of a vigilante group during the unfortunate attack. According to villagers, at least 55 wedding guests were abducted during the attack, and the victims have since then been held hostage.

However, a video clip currently circulating on social media shows the ruthless bandits threatening to marry the bride and sell the other captives if the ransom is not paid on time

It was learned that the assailants had contacted families of the victims, demanding N100 million as the sole condition for releasing the captives.

In the video clip, a gang leader, dressed in a police uniform, claimed responsibility for the abduction, stating that nobody could rescue the women

I am the one who abducted them, and I will never release them until ransom is paid. And if there is anyone who thinks they could rescue them, they should try it,” he said
