Nigerian singer, Timaya has provided insights into his dating preferences, revealing that he wouldn’t go into relationship with any girl in the country.

In a recent interview with Beat 99.9 FM, Timaya revealed why he doesn’t have a Nigerian girlfriend and why he wouldn’t date his country man if he were a girl.

Timaya clarified that he doesn’t harbor issues with Nigerian men, but if he were in the shoes of a Nigerian girl, he wouldn’t opt for a relationship with a Nigerian guy.

The artist, who hails from Bayelsa, explained his perspective by emphasizing the lack of excitement in dating someone with a similar background, upbringing, and environment.

In his view, the absence of diversity in these aspects could make the relationship overly toxic, like the dynamic between a police officer and a thief.

Timaya shared his personal dating philosophy, suggesting a preference for relationships that bring diversity and distinct perspectives to the table.
