Police officers conducting a fact-finding mission on Monday visited No 8, Boluke Lane, Zango-Kulende Quarters, Ilorin, where three siblings of the same parents reportedly died in the car.
However, they were unable to enter the building as the gate was locked, and no one was available to assist them
The police operatives proceeded to the family house of the bereaved mother, Shade Silifat, at Ile Magaji, Taiwo Isale Road, where she is recuperating from the shock of the tragedy that befell her on Sunday.
They queried her for not reporting the matter officially
A source revealed that the Commissioner of Police has authorized a discreet investigation to uncover the truth behind the incident.
Meanwhile, the landlord of the residence where the siblings died has reportedly issued a quit notice to Abdulkadir Jimoh, the father of the deceased children, who has gone into hiding since the tragedy occurred on Sunday afternoon
Jimoh, the owner of a barber shop in Oke-Andi, Zango-Kulende area, had allegedly borrowed the ill-fated car that claimed the lives of the three children from his sister for the naming ceremony of his second wife’s newborn baby nine days ago.
