Lagos Police Arrest Woman For Allegedly Stabbing Neighbour To Death

The Lagos State Police Command has arrested Cynthia Aigbondon, a middle-aged woman, for allegedly stabbing her neighbor to death.

The Police Command’s Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the arrest during an interview with NAN on Tuesday.

He said that Lukmon Adio, the deceased husband, reported the incident to the Ajegunle Police Division around 9:48 pm on Sunday

The police spokesperson stated that Bakarat, the late wife of Adio, had a minor dispute with the suspect while they were both fetching water from a public tap near their home

The misunderstanding allegedly resulted in the suspect stabbing the late Bakarat with a kitchen knife at the left side of her ribs.

”She was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital where the doctors on duty confirmed her dead,” he said

Hundeyin mentioned that the police had visited the crime scene, collected evidence, and captured photographs.

He stated that Bakarat’s body had been taken to the morgue for autopsy and preservation.
