NLC Declares Two-Day Nationwide Mass Protest Amid Worsening Economic Hardship

Amidst the escalating economic hardships in the nation, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) leadership has declared a two-day nationwide mass protest for February 27th and 28th.

NLC President Joe Ajaero revealed this during an ongoing press conference at Labour House, Abuja, on Friday.

On February 9, both NLC and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) issued a 14-day ultimatum to the Federal Government to implement agreements with workers to alleviate economic hardship in the country.

Kanyi Daily recalls that the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC) have decided to suspend the nationwide strike initiated in protest against the brutalization of NLC President, Joe Ajaero, in Imo State on November 1, 2023.
