Soldier Goes On Rampage, Kills Senior Officer, Injures Other Colleagues In Sokoto

A soldier named James Kingsley has been gunned down after he went on a shooting rampage, resulting in the death of his senior officer, Second Lieutenant OC Ukachuckwu.

According to Sahara Reporters, the tragic incident occurred on Sunday at 6:05 pm at the Forward Operational Base in Magami, Sokoto, under the Joint Task Force North West Operation HADARIN DAJI (OPHD).

Military sources said Kingsley went berserk and opened fire, killing Ukachuckwu, before being subdued by other soldiers present at the scene.

It was gathered that some of Kingsley’s colleagues sustained injuries during the incident but are reported to be in stable condition in the hospital.

A military signal signed by Major MD Mikaailu revealed the details of the incident and mentioned that both the late officer and soldier were rushed to Magami General Hospital, where the officer was confirmed dead.

AND HE WAS GUNNED DOWN BY FELLOW SLDRS PRESENT AT THE TANGO(.) BOTH LATE OFFR AND SLDR WERE RUSHED TO MAGAMI GEN HOSP WHERE THE OFFR WAS CONFIRMED DEAD(.) SIT WITHIN OWN FOB IS UNDER CON (.) KanyiDaily had also reported how a soldier, Saeed Sabo was detained in police custody for allegedly stabbing a 34-year-old man to death in Umuahia, Abia State.
