Veteran Kannywood Actress, Saratu Gidado Allegedly Dies At 56 While Fasting

Veteran Kannywood actress, Saratu Gidado, better known as Daso, has sadly passed away at the age of 56.

The heartbreaking news was confirmed by relatives of the late actress in an interview with Freedom Radio. They disclosed that Daso was discovered lifeless on Tuesday morning.

According to family members, Daso was found dead after returning to bed following Sahur, the pre-dawn meal consumed before fasting during Ramadan.

It was gathered that after partaking in Sahur, Gidado, who was fasting for Ramadan, went back to bed, only to be found deceased shortly afterward.

The sudden loss of Daso has plunged both the industry and her fans into profound sorrow and disbelief.

Tributes poured in from colleagues, fans, and well-wishers following her untimely demise, highlighting Daso’s significant contributions to the industry and the lasting legacy she leaves behind.

Reflecting on her passing, a close associate of the late actress, Habiba Umar, said, “Daso’s departure leaves a void in the industry that will be difficult to fill. She was not only a talented actress but also a warm-hearted individual who touched the lives of many with her performances.”

This comes a few days following the death of Aderounmu Adejumoke at the age of 40 in the early hours of Saturday, April 8, 2024.
